young Emily was weighed today and is now 18lb 12oz, she will be 6 months old on the 27th July.

Since the weekend, parts of the UK have topped the temperatures in Bermuda and the Balearics. Shepshed in Leicestershire reached 30.5C on Sunday, and London's top temperature of 29.3C was one degree hotter than Bali. On Monday, the hottest day of the year so far, the mercury hit 31C - warmer even than Miami's 29C.

It has been far too hot! over the last couple of days, we are just not
used to this kind of weather. In countries that are they have adapted their lifestyles to cope with it, whereas we carry on trying to do the usual day to day activities when the temperature just does not allow it.

Oh how we moan when we get a cold summer and how we complain when we get a decent spell of weather......oh to be English.

Sorry, there have been no entries of late, It has been a very busy time with one thing and another. I am still here but have not had any computer access time, it is a luxury that sometimes I can't afford!
Posting frequency should now return to normal.
